Mulatto Boy is a bold, funny, spoken word-inspired show. It explores the connection between Black mixed-race identity and British national identity. The story reveals how these two identities reflect and impact each other. Told through West African theatrical practices and enriched by Angolan language, music, dance, and traditions, the show takes you on an emotional journey. Mulatto Boy asks, what does it mean to be Black, mixed race, and British? And, who gets to define that?
