Born in Norway with Nigerian roots, Orupabo turned to collage to explore her complex identity. Initially anonymous on Instagram, her work gained global recognition after Arthur Jafa featured it in 2017.
Frida Orupabo, born in 1986 in Sarpsborg and based in Oslo, has showcased her solo exhibitions at prestigious venues like Nicola Vassell Gallery in New York. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions worldwide, including the Munch Triennial in Oslo and the Bienal de São Paulo in Brazil.
