Sancho & Me – For One Night Only (June 18) Hollywood actor Paterson Joseph performs his unmissable one-man show about the life of Charles Ignatius Sancho. Born into slavery in 1729, Sancho went on to become a writer, composer, shopkeeper, and respected man of letters in 18th-century London.
Keep Up the Good Fight (June 22) Sunday evening live events include a discussion with author Dr Shola Mos‑Shogbamimu about sustaining activism.
Telling the Untold (June 21) 5 Black men including Ekow Eshun and Richie Brave discuss the real voices of Black and Brown men in Britain.
Writers’ Day (June 19): workshops, speed networking, panels for emerging authors
Poetry Day (June 20): poetry workshops & cafe hosted by Roy McFarlane and AFLO
Saturday (June 21): themed panels—Cosy Crime, Conspiracy Theories, “Romantasy” (YA fantasy-romance with Bea Fitzgerald et al.), The Longlist debate
Family Festival (June 22): interactive Story Time, arts & crafts, climate change talk, open mic, and more—all free with lunch for children
